Nursery registration APPROVED by Ofsted May 2017 (Ofsted inspection due within 30 months)
Ofsted Inspection 1 ( while registered as a childminder before Nursery registration)
I had my first Ofsted inspection in November 2013, it was a very stressfull experience, however I was awarded GOOD. The Ofsted inspector was very happy with the inside/outside environment, happy with the way my assistant and I interacted with the children and was very impressed with all the resources I offer in my setting. She said that my playroom isn't like usual childminding setting and it's not like any nursery she has visited either, but it is something in between and that's what makes it special.
She was very impressed with all the paper work and told me to keep doing what I am doing in order to have an opportunity at getting the outstanding grade in my next inspection. She informed me that current Good grade is the old Outstaning grade, this is because standards of the inspections have raised since the new inspection framework which came out in November 2013 (just before my inspection).
When the Ofsted inspector asked me what I would like to improve in my setting, I said I would like to improve on my outdoor area and add more natural resources for children to explore, also eventually I would like to build on a covered up area so children can still play outside while it is raining.
I would like to thank all the parents for all the support and encouragment I have received during this stressfull time.
